Poem by Ben Dunk

First conceived in 1967.

DIVORCE.

I am not some chattel

You use then cast aside

Nor love as a vessel

You decide to deride

I have suffered too much

Loving some one like you

Have been kicked in the crutch

By an inferior few

Do not come back by me

To see my latest tears

Leave me alone and free

From your cruel ‘bum steers’
