Oh the yearning of yore
When the petal hung from the stem
And white lilies were not at the door
Then the sweetness of life was with him
When his sprinkle of tears turned to laughs
And his yodel of joy filled the room
I remember the ‘blind man’s buffs’
When our beings were one and the same
Now I float through the cosmos
Knowing of pain in summation
Praying of his future pathos
And thoughts for his father’s station
So dream pretty babe of your parent
Who loves you with passion and mind
Despite the gulf that was advent
On earth in a fashion unkind
