A POEM BY : Ben Dunk. 1978
RIDDLES
Fair flow the lilywhite sands of time,
when life begins anew;
after the Holocaust -
and this shall be the righteous sign,
to fall into view,
where men war boast.
A mighty hand of wrath across the river;
a piece of painted pumice in the sky,
a golden orb floating o’er a city
and the people shiver.
Long life to those who try
and death to those too petty.
