A POEM BY: Ben Dunk. February 23rd. 1972

Embarking on an ocean liner

Bound for paradise

I dream of what is to be

And how the World will rise

There are dreadful wars

Happening in the east and west

And here is the lovely climate

In a place we love the best

Go you merry lads

Fight your way to death

Do not spare yourselves

Cheer your comrades forth

Look at all the corpses there

Look at all the earthly mire

Look at the bodies feebly lying

Upon hospital beds so dire

Now is the hour unkind

When bannerís fall

When silence reigns

And wives and girls wail

Fare you well

Toll the bells.
